A picture is worth a thousand words

... but here's a couple hundred words anyway.

Lili is doing beautifully. She's a good natured, reasonably "easy" baby... which in parent terms I guess means she cries only when she has specific issues, which we can usually address. Then she quiets back down again. The rest of the time she makes adorable noises, and looks cute. Really, really cute.

She loves being around people, loves being held (not so keen on being put down, but fortunately no one wants to put her down yet), and adores her big brother. Every time she hears Gavin she turns her head to see where he's at, and seems to enjoy the many kisses he lavishes on her.

She's kind of a night owl, like all newborns, and for a while we didn't wise up to the "sleep when the baby sleeps" thing. Now we're in more of a rhythm, and learning that just because she's up until 0200 doesn't mean we *both* have to stay up that whole time. Nap when she naps. That kind of thing (no, really, Gavin wasn't raised by pixies. We really went through this before. I think. We did, right??).

Lili had her first pediatrician's appointment on Wednesday. She has the same doctor Gavin's had his whole life, Dr. Singh. Dr. Singh was very approving, and gave her a fabulously clean bill of health, most notably with a whole pound weight gain in just under three weeks. "Well, definitely no problems absorbing," he said.

She's pretty amazing. We're still sort of in a happy daze. Or maybe that's the sleep deprivation. I'm not sure.

For Lili movies, you can check out:

Look in Lili's folder. Instead of playing them directly off the Yahoo server (which I've discovered is very slow), right click and save them to your desktop. I mean, come on. You're going to want to watch them over and over again anyway.
